Charity Support
Tragically agriculture today still carries one of the highest suicide rates in any industry in the UK. It seemed fitting that our 'Talking's Good For Ewe' Campaign would be dedicated to raising not just funding but much needed awareness of the challenges faced physically and mentally by those working in agriculture.
Following their own, difficult journeys with mental health and a sudden family tragedy it was unanimously decided that the Wooly Maids wanted very much to do something to help raise awareness for mental health in agriculture. One night over a family dinner the Wooly Maids ‘Talking’s Good for Ewe’ campaign was born, and the rest as they say is history.
We're so very proud to support our chosen charity, The Farming Community Network (FCN). The FCN are relentless in supporting those involved in agriculture. From actively educating and engaging with our next generation of Young Farmers through to supporting families and the elderly in many ways who are involved in and around farming today.
We know we can’t stop the mental health crisis with a simple hoodie but our hope is that if just one person reads our message and in some way it helps stop them going through what we've experienced or the unthinkable happening to them or a loved one, we will have achieved what we set out to do.
In addition to this 10% will go from the sale of our 'Talking's Good For Ewe' Hoodies to the Farming Community Network.
